Wooo hoo hoo hoo!
Okay, so long story short, we had a group from Calgary Canada this week...and talking to Wayne (a 6.5 foot tall facial haired version of Rick Moranis) one day, he asked me what my degree was in. I told him I'm shooting for youth ministry. He immediately said great-let me get your name and number up to the hiring guy at our church, we've got positions open in our children's ministry!
Right, as if that wasn't enough excitement, the next day, one of the other adult leaders from Canada and I were conversing, her husband Trent came over, and just lit up. He told me to move up and move in to their basement-(they just finished remodeling it he said) and he'd even drive me to work. I could attend college while working there...and it would be LOADS cheaper than school, round these parts.
So...i just got an email out to Randy at Centre Street church in Calgary. I'm excited because even if I don't get an interview, I know that my calling is youth ministry. That's prayer answered right there. I'm still praying though that God would make my path clear.
It's crazy, i could go on all day about how encouraging this week was, how sincere the Canucks were, and how I'm just way psyched about what God's planning!!!
So if you could, please pray for this whole thing-i want nothing less than God's desire for my future. Who knows, maybe I'll stay in GR for ages, and maybe I'll get an interview for the postion in Calgary. Either way, like the famous surgeon said "It's out of my hands now.."

WOW!
DUDE! That is awesome! This summer is just rockin' the socks off of me. I mean, for you to get these great offers is just a sign that you are taking the path you were meant to take. Who knew? I mean, four (wow that long?) years ago we were all just going to Sunday School for dramas and teaching and now you want to go all the way.You can do it, Josh. You are great with kids, you're always energetic enough to keep up with them. You're fun and cool to be around and kids can see that from a mile. You will do great and you WILL be in my prayers.
